Version 1.1

XP to Vista

XP to Vista is the first website to feature a full "newbie" friendly tutorial on making Windows look and feel like Windows Vista. Here you can find many links to software and files that will convert Windows into a "Windows Vista" look a like. If you need help with any of the tutorials then please feel free to contact me.

As you know, I am making this website myself from scratch and I've put alot of thought and effort into it. I would appretiate it if you do not copy the tutorials from this website, and just provide links on your websites. Also I am paying for the back-up server out of my own pocket, and would be greatful if you would donate a little to help cover the costs. If I don't get any donations I may have to scrap the back-up server, or make it so you have to pay to use it. You can donate by clicking here, which will link to a paypal account. This feature is comming soon, I would appritiate it if you actually used it.

What's New

Re-written Tutorials
XP to Vista is now bigger, better and easier to use. Every tutorial has been re-written so that anyone, from the "newbies" that have just started customising their pc, to "skin gurus" that have been creating skins for years on end, can understand the tutorials and follow them step by step without getting confused.

Screenshots Heaven
To help make the tutorials the easiest to use on the internet, I have included screenshots of every step, and I mean every step. But don't worry though, if you have a really slow connection, or can't be bothered to look at all our pretty images, just click the "No-Screenshots" tutorial (Comming soon) and you'll get a screenshot free step by step guide. Please note that some screenshots will still be in this new feature, however I will only include them if I feel they are really important!

Back-up Server
I was thinking, how can I make this website better, and then it clicked. Remember the days when you would read a tutorial and then the link provided didn't work, well that wont happen on xptovista anymore. I've uploaded every file you see in these tutorials to a back-up server. Please remember though that having a server running is not cheap, so only use the back-up server if you can not download through the origanal link.

24hr Support -Well almost
I've now created a new email address which you can send all your questions to, and I will get back to you within 24hrs. I would love to be able to get back to you straight away, but I do need to sleep and work, and I can't afford to hire a team of people to help you. If you can't wait for me to help you, you can always post your questions on the forums, and someone will kindly help you out. The new support email address is xptovista@4dstudioz.com. The forums will be on their way soon! I just need to finish creating them.

Comming Soon

XP to ALL – Flash Program
I'm currently working on a flash simulation that will actually show you step by step how to change your windows into; Windows Vista, Windows XP and Mac OSX. Why am I doing this? Something to do really, and I want to brush up on my Flash skills. Don't worry though I wont be neglecting this site, I'll still be adding content. So this new feature may take some time to complete. I'll let you know when the "beta" comes out.

Forums
The forums will be up very soon. Well as soon as I've finished typing up all the new tutorials. It wont take long once I've started putting the forums up though, I'm going to use a phpBB template.

Affiliates
This section will be comming soon, hopefully, so that you can link your websites to this site, and any that want to can be put on this website as well.
